WindowBlinds 4.4 is now available for public download. WindowBlinds is a program that enables users to completely customize their Windows user GUI. That includes their title bars, push buttons, Start bar, toolbar icons, radio buttons, progress animations and nearly every other part of the Windows GUI.

WindowBlinds is the most popular desktop enhancement program of all time according to CNET with over 7 MILLION downloads from CNET Download.com. It is used by companies such as Microsoft, Sony, ATI, nVidia, Nintendo, Alienware, and many other companies that want to create additional visual styles for Windows XP, 2000, 98, or ME.

There are thousands of visual styles available on websites such as WinCustomize.com, deviantART.com, to give Windows a totally new look. Want to make Windows look like another operating system? Or make Windows conform to the look and feel of your favorite game? WindowBlinds can do these things and more.

WindowBlinds 4.4's biggest new features include lower level integration into Windows resulting in up to a 40% increase in performance along with the ability to have the explorer task panel at the top of a window rather than on the left.

The home page for WindowBlinds is http://www.windowblinds.net. It is a free download.

An enhanced version is available that adds additional features such as on the fly colorization, support for non-theme aware programs, and much more. The enhanced version can be purchased on its own for as part of Object Desktop, a suite of desktop enhancement programs.

Get on over to Download.com to rate the program, now that the new version is up over there.

Frogboy has said both favourable and unfavourable comments are welcome, but I think there'll be very few unfavourable

If you don't have an account over there, (C-net) enabling you to rate, ...it takes all of 3 minutes to do. Help out this geat program, and the company that makes it!

Somewhat disappointed because it does not affect some software like Windows and Internet Cleaner Pro as one example. And, not happy that I had to exclude CyberScrub [now w/4.4.], but checks in the check boxes could not be seen. Steps forward...Steps backward(?)

It seems like every couple months they come out with a new version of windowblinds, just so people can dish out more money. This is getting rediculous! >

what? you obviously have never purchased one as you would know that a purchase is required for an entirely new number such as 5.0, not 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and so forth.
