Stardock has released WindowBlinds 4.51. WindowBlinds is a program that enables users to change the look and feel of their Windows GUI by applying new skins called "visual styles" that can change nearly every aspect of the Windows interface (title bars, push buttons, Start bar, etc.).
The most significant new feature in WindowBlinds 4.51 is support for Windows XP 64 (for both AMD and Intel chipsets). So now users with 64-bit Windows can skin their Windows user interface. It also includes enhanced support for MSStyles (imported via SkinStudio - www.skinstudio.net).
Other changes include:
- Skins more elements of .NET apps
- Shellstyle (explorer views) performance improved
- Better support for skinned windows being viewed via Remote Desktop
- Tweaks for Yahoo Messenger, Photoshop, and a few other apps
- Increased performance acceleration for theme aware programs
- Added Portuguese (Brazil) support
WindowBlinds is available in a free downloadable version as well as an enhanced version which adds support for non-theme aware programs, on the fly colorization, and skinning of many elements of the Windows GUI not normally skinnable.
