Plymouth, MI- (August 3, 2005) – Game publisher Stardock Entertainment has announced the addition of the flight simulation game Flatspace to its electronic distribution system TotalGaming.net. Originally developed by UK based Cornutopia, Flatspace is the most recent title to be added to the TotalGaming store.

In the distant future, space has expanded to such an extent that stars and planets can no longer hold form. Humanity still lives and works in space stations and ships, islands of light and technology in an otherwise cold and flat void.

Flatspace is a space trading and flight simulation game where the ultimate goal is to collect the components of a galactic hyperdrive. However, unlike many simulations released today, Flatspace provides the player with truly open ended gameplay. When the gamer creates a new character, they must choose from one of six professions (Trader, Mercenary, Bounty Hunter, Pirate, Police Officer, and Scavenger), but are not bound to remain in their initial profession. For instance, one could start off as a Trader and then take up the life of a Mercenary or Bounty Hunter.

Flatspace can be purchased stand alone for $21.00, or at a low cost of only 2 tokens with a TotalGaming.net membership. Either way, once a player purchases and downloads a game, it’s theirs to keep forever. If a player gets a new computer they can download a new copy and install it with no DRM hassles.
