Save 15 worlds from nuclear contamination in this fast-paced action game

Plymouth, MI- (August 17, 2005) – Game publisher Stardock Entertainment has added Reaktor to its electronic distribution system, TotalGaming.net. Reaktor was developed by MoCLIX, an independent game team based in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Reaktor is a color-matching game that pits you against the clock. Fifteen planets are in danger of being irreversibly contaminated by radiation due to broken nuclear reactors. It’s the player’s job to prevent the meltdowns and save the worlds from total destruction. The player fires plutonium blocks from a cannon located at the reaktor core in order to combine three or more like-colored blocks adjacently (horizontally or vertically), causing them to explode.

To further spice up the game, Reaktor offers three modes of play: Mouse Click, where players simply point where to fire their plutonium bricks and the reaktor zone turns to match; No Spin, where the reaktor zone remains static, but the core itself turns; and Turn mode, where the gamer must manually turn the reaktor zone using the mouse to place bricks while the core remains fixed.

Reaktor can be purchased stand alone for $19.95, or at a low cost of only 2 tokens with a TotalGaming.net membership. Either way, once a player purchases and downloads a game, it’s theirs to keep forever. If a player gets a new computer they can download a new copy and install it with no DRM hassles.

System Requirements: 500MHz Processor, 64MB RAM, 3D Video Card, Windows 9x/Me/2K/XP, DirectX 8.1+

I agree. When I was testing it out, I couldn't stop playing it.  I play on the Turn mode myself - I think it's the most challenging and fun.
